What Viont is
Viont is a Chrome extension and web application that turns meetings into summaries, action items, and follow-up work. It records only when you choose to start it.
Recording consent is your responsibility
Viont captures audio from your own browser tab. You are responsible for complying with the recording consent laws that apply to you and the people on the call. If consent is required, inform participants before recording.
What data we collect

What we do not do
- We do not use your meetings to train AI models.
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not store raw meeting audio after transcription.
- We do not record anything until you choose to start it.
Third-party services
- Groq for transcription.
- Anthropic for summarisation.
- Supabase for authentication and storage.
- Telegram for optional delivery.
- OpenRouter for chat responses where needed.
- Render for backend hosting.
Deletion and retention
You can delete your data from Settings. Account data, transcripts, summaries, and reminders are removed within 30 days of deletion.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Audio is streamed for processing and not written to permanent storage by Viont.
